The swarm loves to find places which appear on the screen, either on TV or the movies (Where Eagles Dare, Agenten sterben einsam). Therefor we went to Schloß Adler Fortress (name in the movie). Real name: Castle. Hohenwerfen close to Salzburg above the Salzach River). The plot is confusing, but we like the stereotype action. And the names of the agents like blond Heidi Schmidt. The biggest challenge while filming was the payment of Clint Eastwood who only got the second most important part but a royal salary. Eastwood did not like the plot and focused on the action scenes. While Richard Burton had problems with his drinking binges. The weather during the take wasn’t good either.

 

 

The deployed plane JU 52 crashed in an accident 2018, killing 20 people, (Aunt Ju)  stopping the tourist tours on these wonderful planes. I even found an old picture of it about from 1983 in my stocks.

 

The name of the movie is not connected with the fact that there is a big falconry in the castle now which is run by the State of Salzburg.
