We had no other choice than visiting the “Bayerische Landesgartenschau” 2024 in Kirchheim and Heimstetten.
After we learned they deploy the two Mascots:
Kirk
Stetti
They even appeared in the news together with Bavarian President Gerhard Söder. (Known for his disaster management)
Kirk and Stetti are not as sexy as the pinup girl in the fire station where Söder thanked the firemen after the Katastrophenfall winter 2016. But Kirk and Stetti are true Ducks.
We enjoyed the day in the sun. The entrance fee was 19,50 Euro. Which includes entertainment in the park.
We learned, how empty our tables would be without insects.
We read a lot of information about sustainability, followed the dancing lesson, took a lot of time to smell the roses and flowers and watched the bees doing their work.
Several Rubber Ducks were seen on the compound. But disappeared and we could not find them. But the crew was big enough for the photo shoot.
There is a little lake on the compound, but swimming is not allowed. But they had lifebelts and of course the safety had to be checked.
We finished with a good lunch in the park and cycled back early enough to avoid a thunderstorm with rain.
Maybe triggered by another weather witch.
On the way back we saw a mid-summer fire but I don’t know what burnt there.
