Countesses and Cream Puff

Where Eagles Dare, Castle Hohenwerfen
Peak of Carnival in Cologne

The swarm again followed the traces of the famous and prettyCountess Maria Louise of Larisch-Wallersee. (Born Mendel, daughter of Louis, Duke   I n   Bavaria, Wittelsbacher, niece of empress Sisi Elizabeth of Austria)

We inspected the Wallersee lake in Austria. Which is about 40 km east of Salzburg. We roamed along the side of the little lake which offers bathing opportunities. But everything was still closed in late winter. We were hoping we could find a coffee shop on the shore, but we were not successful. But the swarm enjoyed the walk along the lake on a sunny day with some morning fog.

Two big old Lime trees next to a chapel were located on the route.

On the way back we visited another true Countess, the “Windbeutel-Gräfin” (Creem Puff Countess) in Ruhpolding. A well-known cross-country skiing spot. It is also famous for its Biathlon Sport facilities. Which are used for World cup and Championship events. It is often visible on TV.

We bravely mastered our own Athletic challenge, a Cream Puff “Lohengrin” Number 4 (with egg flip) with the help of some hot chocolate. Each Cream Puff comes with its own certificate which is uniquely numbered. The coffee shop had many famous guests who will get the more striking numbers, but Sheila was completely pleased with the number she got: 3177443

We could keep the document as souvenirs.

Now we are working on a story about Opera “Lohengrin”. So, this was a great point to start with. To be continued in July 2025 with chocolate.
