In the years after 2007 the bishop of Limburg, Tebartz-van Elst started a construction project in “Limburg an der Lahn” which over the coming years caused unclear costs of 10? 20? 30? 40? Million Euro which caused a lot of critic in the public. At the end the bishop had to retreat because of the high costs which puts the project in the glorious row of German projects like the new airport in Berlin or the restauration of the glorious Navy ship Gorch Vock. More and more project in Germany, payed by tax payers, seem to get out of hand these days in Germany. At least this one came to an end. The project included a new apartment for the bishop with a nice, costly tubby which is said to alone cost 15.000 Euro. But on the other hand money is never lost, it just is in other hands and projects like that might bring a lot of tourist focus on Limburg for the next centuries. Just remember projects like Castle Neuschwanstein. Sheila was astonished, that there are so many Italian restaurants in the old town of Limburg (state Hesse, in Germany), we could not find Hessian restaurants at all. There are many nice, typical half-timbered houses in Limburg which provide many nice photo moments.
The same moon as at Runkel Castle was shining in Limburg that night.
