We started a trip to Kroatia early in the morning to get over the notorioulsy jammed Tauernautobahn (freeway) on to a stop in Triest, Italy.

At dawn we reached the southern side of the pass in Austria and had a coffee at the rest area.

Then we saw a sign pointing out the exit and route over the Wurzenpass and chose to take it. And here is what we saw along the way. There is a Military museum „Bunkermuseum“ along the way at the former border with  the Eastern bloc (Austria, Slowenia). It was too early and the Museum was still closed, but definetively a place to go to again. You on some days can even ride on / in a tank.
