The Richard-Strauss-Fountain (also Salome-Fountain) was set up 1962 to commemorate famous composer Richard Strauss who next to some famous operas like “Salome” also composed the famous Olympic hymn for the games 1936. Richard Strauss was born next door and the memorial is close to the Michaelskirche.
The „Jagd- und Fischereimuseum“ is next door too.
