As we like to make excursions in the surrounding area we also visited famous, splendid “Golfhotel Kaiserin Elisabeth” in Feldafing at the Starnbergersee.

It has got a wonderful Golf Court with great views overlooking the fancy lake. Empress Sissi (Wittelsbach, Prinzessin I n Bayern) stayed here for holiday and also met cousin Ludwig during that time. The original room where she stayed in is still available. Her farther ‘s den, Castle Possenhofen is not too far away so I don’t know why she selected the hotel. But farther “Zitter-Maxl” maybe was not the appropriate converse for her after she had become empress of Austria. We came in late, but the friendly staff still provided an excellent fish lunch.
