Starnberg, Rat, Shipwreck?

Friedberg im Allgäu
Schliersee, Biersee

After another wonderful cycling tour on which we also used the opportunity to take the ship from Tutzing to Starnberg at the “Starnberger See” we saw a big fat rat running over the busy lakeside promenade in Starnberg. After we went ashore and exited the splendid ship “MS Starnberg” in Starnberg. Rats seem to be a problem now along the shores of the Bavarian lakes.

Of course our Ducks had to start with the usual safety check.

As the “MS Starnberg” has a history of striking accidents. Baptizing did not work out well too, the unlucky ship needed 3 attempts. So I turned round and made sure that the rat did not leave our ship sinking although we did nothing wrong. But our splendid ship was perfectly OK.

We had a great and fast trip from Tutzing

to Starnberg. When I entered the boat I did not know which route it would take and where it would make a stop. We were hoping for a longer trip with more stops. But it went directly to Starnberg. We were bound to my bicycle so we did not have the chance to change our mind after we were on board. The trip was wonderful nevertheless and we enjoyed the view overlooking the picturesque lake and the mountains at the horizon.

The boat was much bigger than the one we used for our last boat tour here on the lake.

We went along the shore at Berg with the memorial site for Wittelsbacher King Ludwig II. and I was able to shoot some pictures from a different perspective of the cross in the lake.

Johann and I also shared a nice piece of cake and hot chocolate at a coffee at the shore in Tutzing before the boat trip and enjoyed the nice autumn sun.
