Föhr, North Frisian Island

Family History, Sweden, USA and Germany in Comparison
Aichach, Wittelsbach, Dachau

This Duck was discovered on a trip to Föhr, one of Germanys North Frisian Islands. Voldemar survived the dangerous duck decoys where millions of ducks were caught and slauthered in the old days since 1735. Now he is facing new perilous dangers. There was a factory in Wyk which produced canned duck which is on pause now. Fish is still more sustainable and better accepted in public.

Hans Albers, “Der Blonde Hans”, iconic German sailor in movies and songs, buried in Hamburg never went at sea in real live except for a booze cruise to Germany’s only off-shore island, North-Frisian Heligoland. He lived at the Starnbergersee when he died 1960 in Berg. He also appeared in movies together with famous Heinz Rühmann and Marlene Dietrich. At the Starnbergersee he used to shock the passengers on the tourist boats passing his villa. Showing that he was a good swimmer, skinny dipping in the lake.
